Question:
I just got  a single rose bud sound 3 french.  I have never sounded before but it looks like fun I used lots of lube and did not get very far there was a little pain and then I bleed is this normal for the first time? it felt good to this point then freaked me out

Answer:
david,

Sometimes there is a little blood when you stimulate areas that have very soft mucus membranes. It also depends on how much blood...

If you are bleeding in that area, watch it carefully to make sure you are not continually bleeding. Eventually, it will clot, and stop. If you have any fears, go to the emergency room immediately, trust me, they have seen it all. I have several doctors as clients and they have all had the ER as part of their training. The key is to make certain you are okay. A trip to the emergency room is not about you needing to pass anyone's judgment on you, who cares.

Notice that the bleeding is less and less. It may stop and then start up again, OR you may experience some blood in your pre-cum or lube when the sound is taken out, but that's it. Don't worry about that, sometimes there is a bit of blood and the urethra ends up not bleeding past that. Just watch it closely. Stop playing in that area for a while and definitely examine your toys for any scratches or rough areas on the surface which could be the culprit. If not, it may be just a little over stimulation in that area.

Now, a 3 French is the smallest of the rosebud sounds. There are Rosebud urethral sounds that come in a kit and graduate in size from 3mm to 13mm and are 12 inches long made of stainless steel or chrome plated stainless steel. It is VERY important that anything you use to insert into the urethra is as clean and sterile as possible. There really is no such thing as completely sterile, but if you are very conscientious, you will avoid getting germs in your urethra that will cause an infection, which will develop into a bladder infection. That's not good. If that happens, go to your doctor for the treatment of cystitis.

So, gloves, sterile lubrication, clean surface, clean sounds, (soak in a 4 way quaternary ammonium disinfectant for at least 10 minutes), then a Betadine solution to clean the sounds before insertion.

A 4 way quaternary ammonium disinfectant can be found here at the bottom of the page under "concentrated disinfectant".

I would also suggest trying other sounds. Men have a curve, so sounds like the Van Buren is designed to accommodate that curve. Van Buren sounds are not for the inexperienced though...they cannot be inserted or removed if the penis is hard. Straight sounds are much easier to insert when the penis is erect. Sounds like the Dittel sound or the Sim sound. The diameter of these sounds are the same for medical catheters and utilize the French unit (Fr). Since you are stretching the urethra, the key is to use gradually larger sounds. You should have no problem using something as small as a 16 fr or 18 fr.

The Rosebud or Bud sounds are also known as the Bakes sound, and you may also want to experiment by warming them or cooling them before insertion. The use of a vibrator on the outside of the penis with any kind of sounds may also add to your stimulation if you just place the vibrator on the top of the sounds or directly on the skin of the penis where the sounds are right beneath the surface. Remember to keep things clean. You may place a rubber glove or a non-lubricated condom over the vibrator.

Now taking it another step further, you may obtain a Tens unit which will give you some added electro-stimulation. You can take a disposable Tens pad, one that is sticky and wrap it around the TOP of the sounds. Make sure it is a sounds you know you can insert easily. Just fold the pad in half around the sound. You will need to place another Tens pad on another part of your body. I would suggest the ball sack. Make sure there isn't any kind of lube where you intend to place the pad. You can also place the other pad on the perineum or even your thigh. I do enjoy this kind of play myself. Add a little bondage and you have your insane asylum scene in the works!

Here is a great site with lots of information on medical type play. I have included the link specifically for sounds play.

Whatever you do, always have fun and play safely. If you have any fears about the situation you are in, always consult a medical professional.

Please let me know how you are doing and that things are all well in your nether region.

(Sounds good Mistress!)
