Q
I am curious about tiger balm play in other areas of what it was intended for. Areas like mucus membranes.

A
I avoid the use of Tiger Balm on mucus membranes because it is oil based. Not easy to wash off especially if it's in areas not easily reached to remove it. Try it on your wrist first. See how long it takes for it to reach optimum stimulation and then to dissipate. Then imagine what it would be like IN other areas and remember, it  can't easily be removed. You may also have a reaction to it that can linger.

Think about it. The experience of a burning you cannot easily get rid of is a form of mental BONDAGE.  Imagine fretting while you wait for the burning to subside in the case of capsaicin, an active component of chili peppers.

Vinegar is a good way to neutralize a capsaicin kind of heat.

So, what about Tiger Balm? Tiger balm has the notable ingredients of camphor and menthol. It is used for muscle aches and pains. When you use it in a mucus membrane, anything can happen because you will not be able to remove it given the location and the fact it is oil based. If it is applied to your skin topically and too much is applied,  you can use warm soapy water. But, you can't do this if it is IN a mucus membrane so CAUTION. I recommend if you can't remove it, and you don't know if it would be an irritation such as an allergic reaction, rash, redness, etc. Don't do it. Benefit-Risk ratio...
